It’s Been Eleven Days (I Think)

I’ve been dealing with weird e-mails and a little confusion. Daily posts are not really that thrilling to me anyway. I just don’t have something scintillating to write about every freakin’ day.

I have a few things to talk about now. I’m working on something for the site. It’s a download, but I’m gonna put some interactive web stuff up on the site to go along with it, if I ever finish it.

I’m not trying to be secretive. I’m writing (or trying to write) an interactive fiction game. I’ve always been thoroughly fascinated by the stuff and I’ve just downloaded Inform 7 for Windows, which is a really interesting and fairly intuitive design thingie that allows you to write and program your own game. (I’m such a computer whiz. “Thingie” is a technical term, isn’t it?) I am currently stuck. I have the idea and the story decided on, but I can’t even implement the first dad-gum room. Arrggg! I’m reading the included manual for the third or fourth time and still can’t figure out how to make the player character actually do things, like um, I don’t know, “Look Around!!!”

It’s probably hopeless. But I’m still working on the drawings and things for the site that will connect to the story and game. Maybe I’ll just do the whole thing in Html and forget text gaming. I have no idea.

For those of you who are new here. I’m a little high-strung. Also, if you read the archives, you know I can get really weird and personal about my feelings. That’s just me. It’s what I do.

So. . .Happy Whatever. Peace on Earth and all that jazz. (For those of you wanting a political piece on the Iraq Study Group. I have nothing to say!)

Goodbye for now.
